I stayed here as part of a Vacation Package when Fantasy Springs first opened. The price was what decided it for me: this was the most affordable hotel available in the package when I booked.

The hotel is next to Bayside Station, directly opposite Fantasy Springs Hotel.

Every part of the hotel is designed and decorated around the films. If you love Andy, Woody and their friends, I can see why you'd want to stay here at least once.

The courtyard out front really stood out to me, with different spots for taking photos beside enormous character statues. Every time I walked past, it was full of children.

My bay-side room

I stayed on the tenth floor. The elevator lobby has different decorations on each floor.

I chose a bay-side room. Looking out the window, I could see the sea and the swimming pool at the Hilton next door.

At the time of my stay, rooms here could sleep two to four people depending on the room type. Mine was a three-bed room, with an extra bed that slid out from under one of the main beds.

In a four-bed room, the fourth bed would be below the television. Mine didn't have that one.

The bathroom looked cheerful, with pale patterns and character decorations. It had the usual amenities, although when I visited there were no character drinking cups like the ones we'd had at Disneyland Hotel or MiraCosta Hotel.

Breakfast at Lotso Garden Cafe

The convenience store downstairs had a decent choice of boxed meals, handy if you hadn't booked a restaurant or came back late from the park.

I had breakfast at Lotso Garden Cafe, the hotel's restaurant. There was plenty to choose from, with Toy Story decorations around the buffet too.

I didn't spend much time at the hotel. Most of my attention was on the newly opened Fantasy Springs. Still, I can see why many people would enjoy staying here. At the time, its price made it an appealing option among the Tokyo Disney Resort hotels, and getting to the parks was easy with the Monorail right outside.

I hope this gives you a feel for the hotel if you're thinking about staying at Tokyo Disney Resort. There were also other chain hotels around this station that cost less than Disneyland Hotel, MiraCosta Hotel or Fantasy Springs Hotel.

NEXT IN THIS JOURNEYFantasy Springs Opening On the morning of June 7, I left Toy Story Hotel to explore the newly opened Fantasy Springs.
Until the next journey.More stories in this collection
